Transportation around Boulder and to the CU Campus

The conference activities at CU-Boulder will take place at the Engineering Center, located at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Folsom Street.

Boulder is part of RTD, Denver’s public transportation system. The bus that goes right by the Engineering Center is the Hop. This bus runs both clockwise and counter-clockwise. This is a great way to get from campus to the Pearl Street mall (downtown) and the 29th Street mall. From the Hop, you can also connect to buses going to Denver and other parts of Boulder. Click here for a map of the Hop.

The Hop runs frequently:

  • Weekdays: 7am-7pm every 7-10 minutes; 7pm-10pm every 15 minutes; and 10pm to midnight every 30 minutes.
  • Saturdays: 9am-10pm every 15 minutes; 10pm to midnight every 30 minutes.
  • Sundays: 10am to 6pm every 15 minutes.

For a real-time look at the next Hop coming your way, check out the NextBus predictor. Be sure to specify clockwise or counter-clockwise.

For information on all other bus routes in Boulder and Denver, visit the RTD website. Day passes are available, as are 10-ride ticketbooks.

Boulder is a very bike-friendly town, so you might want to rent a bike. Most hotels have bikes available for rental. Those staying on campus can rent from Full Cycle Bikes, University Bicycles, and Boulder Bikesmith.
