Changes Afoot at Cohousing Magazine
In its ongoing effort to better serve the cohousing movement, Coho/US will be making some fundamental changes in the coming year:
- The introduction of Cohousing Now, occasional emails with links to cohousing information in a variety of forms – blogs, videos, news stories, podcasts, articles, and events – we’re opening up our format to help you find content across the web in addition to the Cohousing Website
- The monthly Cohousing Magazine, with its in-depth articles, will be fully integrated with the website, and replaced by Cohousing Now
The bloggers include Chuck Durrett, Diana Leafe Christian, and Jim Leach. New bloggers will be recruited, both regular and guests. The new publication lets Coho/US offer more cohousing info, more often.
This move is one of several ongoing efforts to make Coho/US an increasingly valuable resource. Its 2009 national conference in Seattle marks the first time Coho/US will offer a yearly gathering. Earlier this year, it launched a new members area of the website.
Also, in late October, it hosted the first telephone conference call in the wake of rapidly deteriorating economic condition. A second conference call is slated for December 7th.
