Coho/US looks forward

It is with great pleasure that the Cohousing Association of the United States Board of Directors announces the hiring of an Executive Director. We are delighted to have Craig Ragland fill this newly created part-time paid position.

Craig hails from Songaia Cohousing in Bothell, Washington. For the past two years he has served as a member of the Association Board. He comes to us by way of Microsoft where he was a manager. His recent contributions as a board member include serving as the liaison between staff and board, arranging tours in the Seattle area, and participating as a member of the technical team responsible for launching the Association's first webinar.

Craig's enthusiasm for providing leadership as he takes on this new role is epitomized by his being interviewed for a newspaper article on his first day on the job. Please join us in congratulating Craig as he leads us in exciting new directions. Craig describes his vision for Coho/US in a letter to our community.

As Craig comes on board, our publisher, John Parsons departs. John has ably functioned for the last year and a half as the manager of the website, database, and e-zine and the support staff. He has led the efforts to produce webinars and to bring a new and better functionality to the cohousing website. The board is appreciative of John's efforts on the Association's behalf and happy that we'll continue to have the benefit of his contributions as a volunteer.
