New group in Washington, DC area

Arboretum Cohousing (WI) receives zoning approval

The Madison Plan Commission has approved a rezoning for a 41-unit cohousing project encompassing more than a dozen properties owned by St. Marys Hospital Medical Center. The group plans to tear down six older homes and build three new buildings: one three-unit, one 13-unit and one 16-unit. A remaining three-unit and five single-family homes will be remodeled as part of the project. Visit Arboretum for more information.

New community forming in Hollister, CA

Developer Tod DuBois has a 2.5-acre site for a new 25-35-household, multi-generational mixed-income cohousing project. The site has 15 acres of park on two sides of the property, mountain views, large trees, and is within walking distance of downtown Hollister. First cohousing group forms in Alaska

In a unanimous vote, the Homer Planning Commission approved Alaska's first cohousing project, 59¼ North. The development will include 21 units plus professional offices and studios on 7.87 acres. The project was designed by Seabright Survey + Design.

East Denver cohousing group organizing
