Cohousers inhabit a new novel

Rachel King, a long time resident of Takoma Village Cohousing in Washington, DC, is serializing online her newest book, Tales of the District. The novel, set in Washington, D.C., is notable for having three of its characters living in cohousing. A former ACLU lawyer, Rachel is the author of three well-regarded nonfiction books on various aspects of the death penalty.

Tales of the District is an amusing, fast-paced story of the challenges the characters face in the post-9/11 political climate.  Each week a new chapter of the book is uploaded to the on-line version of the Takoma Voice. It can be read for free on the Takoma Voice website where a new chapter is posted every Friday.
