Liberty Village is a rural cohousing community for all ages, accessible to metropolitan Washington and Baltimore. We have 18 homes complete of a planned 38. The county sewer restrictions have now been lifted (June 2009) and 10 duplex lots are now for sale.

The homes are mostly semi-custom duplexes, clustered on 8 of the 23 acres around a green, pedestrian common area. Six of the units, closest to the planned community building, are designed to be handicap/elderly friendly.

The remaining 15 acres are a mix of gardens, a chicken coop, an orchard, fields, woods, and wetlands. We have a 105-acre public park next door with soccer and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a children's play area, hiking and biking trails, fields and woods. On another side is a horse farm and, on another, five-acre farmettes.

We are located in rural Maryland, 10 miles from Frederick, and about 50 miles from downtown Washington, DC and Baltimore.
