If you are looking for the advantages of a rural, farming lifestyle without relinquishing the stimulation of a nearby city, Champlain Valley Cohousing may be the place for you.

Champlain Valley Cohousing is a neighborhood of 14 town houses and 12 building lots clustered on 10 of our 126 rural acres. Steps away from the building cluster, 116 beautiful acres of agricultural fields, meadows, clay plain forest, and wildlife corridors are permanently conserved through an easement agreement with Vermont Land Trust. One of our partners farms part of the land, and we have a CSA.

All of the townhomes are now occupied. One three-bedroom, two-bath townhouse with a full basement and a 25-foot deck is available for sale. Six lot owners have built their own homes and have moved in. There are three ready-for-building lots currently available for sale.

Lively and artsy Burlington, on the shore of Lake Champlain, is only 13 miles away with theaters, colleges, shopping, an airport, and a university hospital. The international city of Montreal is an easy two-hour drive north. Middlebury, a charming college town, is an easy commute south. The Green Mountains, Lake Champlain, and the rugged wildness of the Adirondack Mountains are close by. Champlain Valley Cohousing combines the best of a simple, rural lifestyle with convenient access to both city and wilderness experiences within a 30-minute drive. Excellent public schools and pre-K through 12th grade Waldorf schools serve the community.
