Webinar CD for Attendees

The CD of Katie McCamant’s webinar last December on financing cohousing has been produced and ready for those who attended the webinar to order. The price for the Webinar CD is half price for those who registered for the webinar: $24.99 including shipping. The half price sale for attendees is only in effect until April 12, 2008. After that date, the CD will be available to everyone at its regular price.

The presentation is just over an hour and a half*. It is a Quicktime** movie of the full webinar with the complete Powerpoint presentation and the full audio recording of the talk by Katie given on December 3rd, 2007.

To order the CD, click here. It's possible to order more than one copy at that special price, but to do so you need to place an additional order (completing the order form again) for each additional copy.

The order will be transmitted to the fulfillment company and you will receive a confirming email from that company. You should receive the CD via first class mail within two weeks for addresses within the United States. Allow up to three weeks for International addresses.

About architect Kathyrn McCamant: Katie and her husband Chuck Durrett launched the cohousing movement in the United States in the ‘80s with the publication of their book Cohousing: A Contemporary Approach to Housing Ourselves. They have also long been involved professionally in the creation of many cohousing communities. Chuck and Katie have received numerous awards and accolades for their work such as the World Habitat Award presented to them by the United Nations. Most recently, Dwell Magazine did a video series on 12 individuals designated as Design Leaders. Dwell launched its series with a profile of Katie McCamant.

About the Webinar

In her presentation on "Financing Cohousing," Katie McCamant discussed in detail:

  • What it costs
  • Financing the Development Costs
  • Raising the Money
  • Affordability.

This was followed by questions from the audience which she answered.

The webinar was very well received by those who attended. Some 88 percent of the audience answered that they were absolutely or very likely to recommend the webinar to others. Two-thirds of them said they intended to attend future webinars presented by Coho/US.
