22 days to Conference, 4 days until registration price increase, 2010 Conference planning

That's right, just about 3 weeks to register for the 2009 National Cohousing Conference... and then I can stop relentlessly pounding that drum - my drum hand is getting tired. While you have about 3 weeks left to register for the conference, you only have 4 days to get a discounted price. For on the end of the day of June 8, the price jumps to its final price.

If you cannot make the 2009 Conference, you can mark your calendar for the 2010 Conference. We'll be releasing most of the details at the 2009 Conference itself, but the conference dates (including pre-conference activities) are June 16-20, 2010. The 2010 Conference Chair is Jim Leach of Silver Sage Cohousing (Boulder) and Wonderland Hill Development. His is a long time cohousing activist and professional. His professional and personal history demonstrate that he is truly effective at making really hard things happen - with minimum heartache for those involved. Some of the other members of the team include Bryan Bowen, of Wild Sage Cohousing (Boulder) and Bryan Bowen Architects, who will be the Program Chair, and Marilyn Hanna-Myrick of Songaia Cohousing (Seattle), who returns as the Registrar. Other team roles will be identified and recruited over the coming weeks.

We will sell the very first ticket to the 2010 conference at the 2009 Fund Raising Banquet, so come have the honor of grabbing that very first ticket. The early bird price for 2010 will be $300. It will be interesting to see if the first ticket sells for more or less. There are plenty of other great auction items available for your review in the auction catalog.

I really look forward to seeing some people again at the conference, as well as meeting newcomers to our movement. It was just great sharing in the energy that was the 2008 Conference in Boston... even in the not-so-great weather. Seattle's weather is almost perfect in June and I'm sure you'll truly enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest and spending it with some energized, ethusiastic, and inspiriting people who have chosen to walk their talk by increasing sustainable community in the form of Cohousing.

Hope to see you in Seattle.
Craig
