Tierra Nueva is a vibrant, well-established multi-generational community of 27 homes. Our youngest member is 6 months old and our eldest neighbor recently celebrated his 89th birthday.
Located on the mild Central Coast midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in a 5 acre avocado orchard, we are near San Luis Obispo for culture and the Pacific Ocean for fun.
Our Common House includes a large kitchen, dining/meeting room, library, two guest rooms, a children's playroom, a TV room with cable and a laundry. We also have built a garage/workshop and multi-use room (think: yoga, meditation, exercise, crafts, meetings) overlooking a pesticide-free farm. We have a community garden, a cutting garden and a serenity garden as well as a play area on the Commons. Houses are connected by walking paths and parking is on the perimeter.
This cosy, inviting 2 bedroom, 2 bath residence is unique at Tierra Nueva. It started with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1250 square feet but after extensive remodeling, it emerged as a very comfortable home with 2 large bedrooms, custom paint and many upgrades including wood parquet floors, a Jotel stove, ceiling fans with lights and lots of wood.
Centrally located across from the Common House and by the roadway which makes carrying groceries a snap (house number 11) on the site map), the yard is fully enclosed with an attractive fence and colorful landscaping. The flagstone patio and wooden deck are pleasant, private places to spend time.
