Southside Park Cohousing in Sacramento, CA is a very friendly place to live. We are located near many work and leisure opportunities including the State Capitol, downtown, the brand new Golden 1 Center (Kings NBA arena), the Crocker Art Museum and historic Old Sacramento.
There are 25 households in our community including single people, couples and families with kids. Our age range is from 2-91. We eat dinner together 2-3 times a week. We have parties and other social events about once a month. We are very supportive of one another with child care, rides, loaned stuff, etc.
This cozy two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 802 sq. ft. second-story flat feels like a tree house. When you look out the windows you mostly see trees, and some of your neighbors homes. This home includes a walk-in closet, a whole house fan, and ceiling fans in all the rooms.
Our common house includes a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, kids room, bathrooms, a laundry room and a multipurpose room. Outside there are lawns, gardens, picnic tables, a barbecue and a hot tub. There is plenty of storage for bicycles, a shop (for projects, bike repair, etc.) and a garden shed.
