Canadian Cohousing link in directory (from Coho-L)

Extracted from a Coho-L posting

To expand on what wrote, the URL for the Canadian Cohousing
Network is www.cohousing.ca. They have a directory of cohousing groups in
Canada.

There are a lot of cohousing groups in the U.S. that have been discussed
on the listserve but are not yet listed in the Coho/US directory.

's failed attempt to find Chaswood Green in the Coho/US web
directory reminded me of an issue: There should be a pointer on the Coho/US
website to the Canadian website, and there isn't. Or at least I couldn't
find one when I entered the URL in the search tool. This is on the beta
version, but I think this was true for the old website too.

FYI: The 7.0 version of the directory had a link to the Canadian Directory integrated into the Browse by State list. It also had a total count for the number of communities in the directory (for the United States).

My european background and global upbringing is calling me to speak to this!

1) How about having a link on the US Directory page to the international organizations page and vice-versa?
It does seem like a natural place for a link to be.

2) About the missing cohousing communities. Having overseen the directory for a few 2-3 years, I know that a fair amount of communities that are created and reside on ic.org have yet to have their "display on cohousing.org?" box checked. Work that no doubt is on the agenda of our capable team.

1 - oops, i just pointed it to the Canadaian page - i could point it back to the international page instead? why don't you and Craig and Donna discuss and let me know :)

2 - nothing from a technical point of view - the directory here displays only the ones that have that flag on. social engineering to get more people to check the box, I hope!
