Classified Ad (administrative notes)

Print this pageI think it would be useful to have another admin-only field, that does not display with an ad, that can used for leaving administrative notes. For example, I responded to an email and "unpublished" two classified ads (by turning off the publish flag). Ideally, I could easily leave a note for others that includes information about why they were unpublished.

holds promise, and would probably work, but the issue is you need to know to look for those behind the Revisions tab.
Maybe if we show logged messages in either the Classified Ad Administrator or Advertising Management views?

The website is a great improvement! Thank you for doing such a workkmanly job. I have one concern which is explained below.
When the first page of the classified ad section appears on my screen, there is no indication that it covers housing (buying, selling, renting, finding land, finding members) needs and offers. I think this is a mistake. I suspect that the main traffic (and the core traffic) is in this area, not in the employment area.
One way to solve this problem would be to change the first two employment-related headings so that they come later in the alphabet than housing headings.
Another strategy would be to have two clickable links at the top of the Classified section, something like: Housing Needs and Wants, and Employment Needs and Wants. Then each of these categories can organize themselves.

Hi Sally,
We changed the number of items displayed on the Classified Ads page to help address this - now all the ads appear on a single page, so at least the Units For Sale & Rent can be seen if you scroll down the page. This maybe helps a bit, but I agree with you and don't think that's quite enough.
Maybe rename "Homes/Units For Sale" to "Cohousing Homes/Units for Sale" ?
