New Community seeking members.

Greensward Hamlet is a forming community of 20 homes in Buxton, Maine – 7 miles from Saco and 18 miles from downtown Portland. We have four committed households and we plan to start the first phase of building in August to have the common house and eight homes ready for Spring 2009. We are seeking a diverse group of people who are committed to living in community and treading lightly on the earth. The community will be made up of five four-family dwellings with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and an optional "in-law" apartment. The common house will feature a great room with central fireplace, kitchen, playroom, game room, meditation/healing room, arts/craft room, exercise room, guest room and 3 offices for home-businesses. The homes and common house will be built to LEED and Star Energy standards and will use NO FOSSIL FUELS. Pre-construction prices available.
