Welcome to Bull City Commons, a diverse, eclectic cohousing community made up of folks of all ages from all over the country. What we have in common is a desire to be part of Durham’s vibrant urban scene and to create a community based on mutual support, shared resources and making a smaller carbon footprint.

Our condo building, under construction at 610 Trent Dr, is within walking distance of groceries, cafes, coffee shops (Cocoa Cinnamon Coffee Shop is on our block!), local ice cream, an independent bookstore, and Duke University. And It’s a quick, easy drive to stellar breweries, museums, galleries, concert and theater venues.
Though close to bustling Ninth Street and downtown, West Durham is nestled in a spacious green environment of towering oak trees, parks, walking/biking trails and close-by Duke Gardens. In a few minutes’ drive, you are in Duke Forest, two state Parks along the Eno River, or on the 22-mile American Tobacco Trail. The Blue Ridge mountains and NC’s beautiful barrier-island beaches are both just three-hour drives. No wonder Durham is among the 10 most desirable places to live in the country!
In addition to these distinctions, the Triangle has become known as “Ground Zero” for cohousing in the Southeastern US. Bull City Commons is the newest member of the eight communities in the area and the second urban cohousing condo community in Durham.
