Hager Homestead: 55+ Cohousing in the town of Littleton MA, west of Boston
General Information
Hager Homestead (formerly Middlesex Senior Cohousing) is excited to be building a new 55+ community in Littleton, MA. Our 24 clustered, energy-efficient homes will have one or two bedrooms, some units will have a den. The large Federal-era house on the site will become our Common House, with ample space for community events as well as typical common house amenities. Our site abuts a large meadow and is adjacent to Littleton's Historic District, within walking distance of shops, hiking trails and a large lake. We're an easy commute to Boston by highway or train.
We plan to break ground in 2021 and open in 2022. Our professional partners include our developer, Matthew Blackham of the Blackham Company; development consultants, Kathryn McCamant of Cohousing Solutions and Laura Fitch of Fitch Architecture & Community Design; and our architect, Sheldon Pennoyer.
Our vision: We are a community of active older adults committed to living respectfully on the earth. We embrace diversity as vital to a flourishing community, and we value lifelong learning and personal growth. We want to balance our own independence with our concern for each other. And we always want to find opportunities to celebrate, to engage with the world, and to have fun!
We are guided by Our Community’s Shared Values of Compassion, Respect, Kindness, Benevolence, Honesty, Integrity, Appreciation, and Curiosity.
