Germantown Commons is a Cohousing community, founded in 2015 in the urban heart of downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Surrounded by beautiful three-season native plantings in the rain gardens and a spacious front lawn, the Common House features a well-appointed kitchen, dining room and living room, where meals and other events are enjoyed. There’s even a kids’ playroom. The upstairs features a large meeting room, a workout room, and two guest rooms with a shared bath for use by residents’ guests.
The Commons is situated in the walkable Germantown Historic neighborhood of Nashville, famous for its abundance of fine dining restaurants and coffee shops. Within walking distance of downtown, we are also four blocks from the Bicentennial Mall, where the main Farmer’s Market features locally grown produce seven days a week, as well as several restaurants. Sports fans can enjoy the Nashville Sounds baseball stadium, while Top Golf, Morgan Park and the Cumberland River Greenway are only blocks away. One of Nashville’s newest and most exciting developments, the Neuhoff riverfront and the East Bank Oracle campus are being built within one mile of the Commons, bringing more vibrant growth to the area.
Residents of the Commons enjoy eco-friendly homes. Ours is a spacious end unit with windows on three sides, providing generous natural lighting. It is handicapped accessible on the first floor, with a bedroom and accessible full bath. Two additional bedrooms and an additional full bath are on the second floor.
This 3 bedroom/2 bath, 1334 Sq.Ft. unit features mini splits for heating and cooling in each main room. Custom features have been added throughout the home, including cellular shades and a kitchen with many upgrades. The ceilings are nine feet high. A back patio with a wildflower garden provides privacy for quieter moments. On the second floor, a deep deck overlooks the courtyard, with two additional double closets. Even more storage is available in the community basement space. All appliances remain, including washer and dryer and on demand water heater. HOA fees are currently $454/month, with a $100 workshare reimbursement available to those interested in helping around the community. We think you will enjoy Germantown Commons as much as we have.
