Description:
We are forming BURNS VILLAGE & FARM, a multi-generational cohousing village and agrihood with 25-30 homes and a small farm about 30 minutes west of Nashville. The farm will be managed by professionals who will provide fresh organically and sustainable produced food in exchange for community support. We have a contract on 15 acres of agricultural and wooded land, with landowners who are very supportive of our vision. We also have contracts with a cohousing architectural team and a cohousing development consultant. We are planning a community that reflects our shared values of respect for the land and each other, accessible homes, and diversity in our community members. Our Core Group meets weekly, and hosts site visits, virtual and in-person gatherings, and reading/discussion groups. We anticipate a sustainable, eco-friendly village with clustered homes, a wooded trail to a beautiful creek, and several acres of orchards, vegetables & fruit, including blueberries, Asian pears, and more! We held a Kick-Off Weekend with Katie McCamant April 29-May 1, 2022 in Nashville, and a workshop with our architect Jack Wilbern July 8-9 that included “seeing the site through the architect’s eyes” on our future site. Come see us! Contact us to join our e-mail list and follow our progress through our facebook page.
