We are an umbrella group, representing folks wanting to pursue intergenerational &/or adult-oriented cohousing, most of us interested in urban living but open to what unfolds. We hope to spawn more than one core group and help them to make it a reality. An adult community adjacent to an intergenerational one would be wonderful!
We have found the Coho community across the country (and Canada) open and so willing to help w/ resources and experience; we will offer assistance to other groups in any way possible. Our members have done significant research and visits to existing communities. Prospective members welcome to come to meetings and pitch in while you see if we’re a good fit.
We formed as a result of a 9-week Aging Successfully (SG-1) course that began in June, 2019. We are now (mid 2020) only holding monthly Zoom socials, and inventing ways to continue to interact in the Covid era.
A handful of us just finished a book study group on Mia Birdsong’s “How We Show Up” and are ready to start a group discussion around Michael Eric Dyson’s “TEARS WE CANNOT STOP – A Sermon To White America”. Any and all are welcome to join us, regardless of interest in the larger group.
Pre-Covid, we were averaging 12 – 15 at bi-monthly meetings w/ a number of working teams, 20+ on the primary contact list. We intend to regroup and start afresh when possible, with affordablitiy one of our biggest issues to address.
We welcome any interested inquiries, and another burning soul or two would be a god-send:)
