Description:

Gratitude Village: Rooted in Gratitude, Growing in Community, Leading in Sustainability, Thriving in Affordability

Gratitude Village embraces community, sustainability, nature, and diversity among individuals of all ages, professions, and backgrounds.

Our Values & Vision:

1. Community & Connection – Being part of a community is healthier for us – mentally, physically, emotionally and economically, and can be better for the planet through a smaller footprint, expansive green spaces and eco-friendly practices.

2. Sustainability – The goal is for our homes and community buildings to be Passive House certified plus we’ll have water-friendly, organic green spaces and gardens, and the community will be Net Zero.

3. Affordability – One third of the homes in the community will be subsidized through grants and partnerships so that young people, first time home buyers, families with young children and those on fixed incomes can afford a home. We envision three tiers of housing:

Tier 1 – Smaller apartments (700-800 sq ft) connected to the common house for first time home buyers, senior living, single person and small households and those wanting to in the heart of the action in the community.

Tier 2 – Multiplex connected homes (w/ 2 or 3 bedrooms, 900-1100 sq ft)

Tier 3 – Single family homes (1300-1500 sq ft)

This mix gives the community mobility within itself. Someone can start with an apartment and then buy up when their resources allow, or someone might start with a larger home and then downsize to an apartment in the future.

4. Diversity – The community embraces a range of incomes, ages, ethnic backgrounds, family structures and belief systems.

5. Nature – We will have as much green space as possible including a 2-7 acre dog park depending on the final land size!
