Description:

Loch Lyme Lodge, Inc. is a membership organization that manages a developing cohousing neighborhood and a 22-cabin based hospitality business, Loch Lyme Lodge and Cabins. This beautiful 115-acre property – forest, meadow, gardens and waterfront on Post Pond – is the site of both our 100-year-old cabin condominium/hospitality business and our forming intergenerational, intentional cohousing neighborhood, appropriate for singles, couples, and families.

The Lyme Common is a bit over a mile from our front door and Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH) is 10 miles south on NH Route 10. Our small rural town has an excellent public K-8 school, library, two inns and restaurants, a small art gallery and a hardware store. Hanover is a vibrant college town, home to Dartmouth College and an excellent tertiary care medical center.

Our cohousing design assumes a mix of a’pod’ments/homes integrated into the common house, apartments, small homes and three or four (4) additional duplexes. We hope to creae an attractive, comfortable, environmentally intelligent neighborhood in which one can live, within an inter-generational community, , raise a family and live long into retirement, aging in your own home or a neighboring continuing care community. Pinnacle’s website begins with this paragraph: Did you ever wish you had a big rambling house on a pond with fruit trees and gardens – a place you knew and loved and could always return to? Do you love gatherings with family and friends? Appreciate great food and stimulating conversation? Are you interested in reducing your carbon footprint and your living costs? Do you enjoy living around mixed age people who value community? Do you want a home where you can raise your children? Age in your own home in your cohousing neighborhood? Live in a place your children and grandchildren love to visit?
