If you’re in the Seattle area on Saturday, May 16th for the Seattle Summit, come check out our site the next day!  Just 2.5 miles from downtown Puyallup, and 35 miles south of Seattle, Puyallup Cohousing is an intergenerational community forming on a 16 acre farm—designed for people who value sharing, connection, and sustainable living. We’re taking an innovative approach by designing eight spacious 6-bedroom homes built for unrelated adults to comfortably live and own together. The bedrooms in each home are designed to function as private studios—each with a separate entrance, kitchenette, and bathroom. This flexible “tiny-home-within-a-home” model adapts across life stages, from single living to families to empty nesters, while preserving privacy and affordability. We are planning to form as a limited equity cooperative, where residents will own shares in the community. Each share provides the exclusive right to occupy one studio bedroom suite and a shared interest in the common elements like a common house, gardens, workshops, playgrounds, storage, food forests, and more. Share transfers will make it easy to grow or shrink your private space as your life needs change. We own the land and have just submitted our Phase 1 permit application to Pierce County this month (May, 2026).
