Plus, we’ll hear from several forming communities looking to build in the close-in suburbs, an opportunity for you to get involved early in these forming groups. Tour Common Houses, shared land, and private homes in both urban and rural communities. Established Communities we will visit on the bus: Eastern Village Silver Spring, MD We'll gather and wrap up at Maryland's most-urban cohousing community, a super-green project that recycled an existing 4-story building. Blueberry Hill Vienna, VA We'll enjoy our lunches and tour this suburban community that helped save the farm that surrounds it from development. Takoma Village Washington, DC See the area's first cohousing neighborhood, and the only one in the District of Columbia. Forming Communities you’ll get to meet as you check in, ride on the bus, and at the closing reception DMV Commons Washington, DC & nearby This group is working to build a multigenerational co-op neighborhood in a walkable part of DC, Virginia, or Maryland. Site search is underway! Newark Area Cohousing Newark, DE A forming group is seeking members to co-create a community in the region's smallest state. Altair EcoVillage Kimberton, PA This rural cohousing neighborhood in the greater Philadelphia region is getting ready to build your future home in a green senior community. Plus meet pioneers from established and growing communities in the area that have homes for sale or room for you to be a part of them.
