When cohousers live together, they make some agreements about how they will share their common property and get along with one another. Some communities make a lot of policies, some fewer. Most communities spend time making policies for things like use of the common house, meal groups, and work participation before move in. Other policies are the result of working through conflict. Whatever your approach to policies, it will be important to document them clearly, communicate them to new members and review them periodically.
