Storage

Shared storage, often in the common house attic or basement, is a convenient place for less frequently used items. Smaller units typical in cohousing communities often don’t have a lot of storage space. Many communities plan for storage in their common house, using attic or basement space to give each household a storage area. These spaces are typically used for holiday decorations, old files and other rarely used items. Dedicated space for bike storage is also common. Many communities have storage for shared items where community members can place an item that they want to make available to everyone.
