Introverts and extroverts approach community differently.  Our mainstream competitive culture tends to favor extroverts. Perhaps this is why introverts disproportionately choose cohousing – with some measures suggesting that there are nearly twice as many introverts in cohousing as in the general population. Working as a community to adopt practices that work well for introverts will shift community practice toward collaboration. Alan O’Hashi shares his experience of living as in introvert in cohousing, and teaches us how to make the most of our introverts.
