Shelly Parks
Shelly discovered cohousing in a “better housing for seniors” Google search. What she learned that day became a pivotal turning point in her career and life. She jumped in with both feed by attending her first National Cohousing Conference (that year in Salt Lake City), applying for and completing Katie McCamant’s 500 Communities Program, leaving her career job as a Marketing and Sales Director for start-up Retirement Communities, founding CoVision Consulting to support cohousing groups in securing their members, and joining the then forming cohousing group Skagit Commons. Today she spends her days talking with cohousing groups and people interested in cohousing and living as a cohousing community member. Shelly feels extremely blessed to be living in cohousing and believes that cohousing offers us a way to truly live the way we are meant to live – connected with others.
