This is a page for cohousing professionals, the folks that help communities become communities and help them thrive. See below for resources, information, and training programs that will help you serve cohousing communities. If you know of resources that belong here let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The cohousing movement needs more professionals including architects, developers, process consultants, and more.
The 500 Communities Program is a 12 month, online, course offered by Katie McCamant of CoHousing Solutions (and the cofounder of the US cohousing movement) to train collaborators to meet the expanding need for professional support in creating new communities. Learn More about 500 Communities
Bryan Bowen of Caddis Collaborative, and Grace Kim of Schemata Workshop are teaming up to run the first six-month virtual Cohousing Architect Training Program, designed for architects or architecture students who want to design community-driven housing skillfully. Architects who understand cohousing can be catalytic in the formation of new communities, and new cohousing communities are important steps toward greater collective sustainability and increased quality of life and resilience for their residents.
