Green Island Preserve is a 60 acre pine forest inside a small city in northern Minnesota. The forest owners are interested in inviting a very small garden community of 2-4 individual tiny houses, on wheels, united in community over a mission of environmental stewardship, reduced footprint, and ahimsa. The preserve is a wildlife refuge, school forest, and arboretum. There is a resident deer herd plus wild turkey, grey fox, a multitude of forest and song birds, and herps.
