Description:
Green Island Preserve is a 60 acre pine forest inside a small city in northern Minnesota. The forest owners are interested in planning and assisting a small garden community of individual tiny houses united in community over a common passion for environmental stewardship, reduced footprint, ahimsa, self sufficiency, a wise spirituality. A Buddhist or Jain faith-based fellowship is especially aspirational. The preserve is a wildlife refuge, school forest, arboretum, and a forest medicine destination. There is a resident deer herd, a rafter of wild turkey, grey fox, a multitude of forest and song birds, and herps. There is gardening and growing space . Home plots are located around a small pond. Nevertheless, with all this restaurants and shopping are only a 5 minute walk away
