High Point Cohousing will be a cohousing community of creative adults who want to live, work and grow together in the inspiring environment of a small urban setting. We hope to develop work-live spaces where we can be makers and doers, while living in a small eco-footprint. Nearby amenities such as High Point University, High Point Hospital, sports centers and small businesses supplement an international furniture market and a vibrant, diverse community of residents. Ours will be a caring community that welcomes elders, millennials and in-betweens who want to explore healthy living, creatively working and graceful aging in community. The City of High Point is affordable and on the verge of revitalization. It is small enough for friendly, easy living, but large enough to meet all residents’ needs. HP is also close to other major cities, has an international airport and an Amtrack stop, along with parks, walking trails, shops and galleries. Old factory lofts and vacant textile mills are waiting for us to retrofit into cool live-work spaces where we can grow and maximize our potential while living the best of our second or last third!
