Photo: Neuf Brisach, the inspiration for our project near Austin, TX. The picture shows what an 80 acre village looks like inside 240 acres of green infrastructure. The village was made in the 1700’s by Louis XIV. The green infrastructure was designed to reduce the residents’ taxes for security by restricting the entry and exit points to the village. In Nature Towns, we use the village to finance the green infrastructure as an amenity to the town’s residents.
