Mission Statement:

Remember “The Waltons” TV show? Ever wish you had been part of the Waltons’ family? The vision of Kingston Village is to be the Waltons’ family times four: 30 residents living together as a supportive family eating together, playing together, studying the Bible together, praying together, laughing together, learning together, and creating a rich and meaningful life together. There is no reason to be lonely anymore. Come live with us, we want you here.

Description:

Can you imagine how awesome it would be to live in a huge house full of your closest friends? Imagine the camaraderie of eating every meal with these friends, the abundance of joyful experiences hanging out with these friends any time you want, the treasure trove of memories your children will create growing up together with their friends, the benefits of raising your children together with your friends, confident that this support network of caring friends is always there to help you watch your children so that you can get your “me” time, and help your children with their homework, and help you work through life’s difficult challenges. Imagine how comforting it would feel knowing that there will always be someone there to greet you when you came home. Imagine the peace and security drifting off to sleep each night assured that there are trusted protectors in the house who will still be there when you wake up each morning. Now imagine being able to live this dream at less cost than you are probably spending now and doing less housework than you are probably doing now, giving you more time, more money, and more energy to enjoy your children and your life. This is the vision of Kingston Village.

Kingston Village is nestled in the majestic Ozark Mountains, with a breath-taking view of the surrounding countryside. It’s only a 500-foot walk to the largest lake in Madison County, perfect for swimming and fishing. It’s also a short drive to some of the best hiking, boating, rafting, fishing, caving, nature watching, and other awesome outdoor experiences that the Natural State has to offer, and only just over an hour drive to Branson, the Christian entertainment capital of the world.

Kingston Village is also conveniently situated in the middle of a well-established Christian neighborhood community, called Living Springs – 21 caring and supportive Christian households, most of whom meet together every Sunday in the neighborhood community building (only 600 feet from the main house) for worship, fellowship, and dinner. Can you imagine how cool it would be to live in a house where, not only is each member of the household a Christian, but everyone of your neighbor is also a Christian? At Kingston Village, this slice of Heaven is not just a dream, it’s an every-day reality.

Our community currently has two houses on the same 31-acre piece of land. The larger house is Kingston House, a beautiful, 7000-square-foot, fully furnished estate with 10 spacious bedrooms, ranging in size from 61 square feet to 856 square feet, totaling more than 4000 square feet of bedroom space. There are 8 bathrooms, each with a shower or tub, so there will be no waiting in line. There are approximately 2700 square feet of common areas spread over three floors for eating, food prep, family fun time, home work, home schooling, hanging out, group time, game nights, and movie nights. The house in the picture above is Kingston House.

The smaller house, Kingston Cottage, located just 750 feet away, has 6 bedrooms, ranging in size from 108 square feet to 298 square feet, totaling 1288 square feet of bedroom space. There are 3 bathrooms, each with a shower or tub. There are 1823 square feet of common areas spread over two floors.

Our community also has RV sites for those who want to bring their housing with them. RVers get to share the swimming pool and the common areas of the main house, including the common bathrooms.

The goal of Kingston Village is not to indoctrinate anyone into any particular lifestyle or belief system, but rather to provide for you a fun, supportive, caring, enjoyable, affordable, and amazingly cool place to live and grow in your own walk with God, and where you are encouraged to develop and exercise your own individual God-given gifts.

If this vision resonates with you, or if you are just curious, I invite you to bring your family to Kingston Village for a relaxing and fun-filled visit. I will do my best to make you feel at home, because it is my hope that you will want to call Kingston Village your next home. But even if Kingston Village is not your next home, at least you will have a uniquely awesome vacation experience that you and your children will be talking about for a lifetime.

The Divergent Demographic Makeup of our Residents:

One of our community’s goals is to have a widely divergent demographic mix of ages, genders, and marital statuses. We believe that the young can provide to a community what the older can’t and the older can provide what the younger can’t; marrieds what the singles can’t and singles what the marrieds can’t; females what the males can’t and males what the females can’t. We currently have 8 full-time and part-time residents, ranging in ages from 3 years old to 63 years old, 4 males, 4 females, 2 married, and 6 single. We are also welcoming of all races and colors.

Fees:

The rental cost to live in Kingston Village is very reasonable, starting at just $100/month for minors and $175/month for adults. Furnishings and utilities are included in the rental fee. The food cost is just $115/month for small children and $215/month for older children and adults.

Work Requirements:

Each resident is required to share in the housework and meal preparation. Currently that is roughly 5 hours/week of housework per resident, and 5 hours/week of meal preparation per resident. There are no other financial or work requirements. There is no buy-in, no monthly dues, and no income sharing requirement. There is also no house business to work at. Each resident is free to pursue their own career aspirations, and keep whatever income they earn.

New Members and Visitors:

We welcome visitors and those wishing to apply for membership/residency. Please call us today to get all your questions answered and arrange for a visit.

Additional Comments about our Community:

We have a booklet full of pictures and descriptions of the two houses and all the rooms. Please contact us and we’ll email you a copy of this booklet.

For the health and comfort of our residents, pets and farm animals are welcome on the community grounds, but not inside community-owned buildings.

A slightly outdated, but still mostly accurate, website describing Living Springs, the Christian community neighborhood that Kingston Village is located in, is www.christiancommunities.com.
