Why I'm interested:

I love the combination of individual and communal living. As a currently single, middle-aged woman, cohousing seems like an incredible opportunity to live independently without being "on my own"; to build a robust community and be a part of something greater than myself. I first read about cohousing in the Whole Earth Catalog in 1991 and fell in love with the concept immediately; I swore that someday I would live in a cohousing community!

Other information:

I love householding and homemaking, and have lots of skills that could be helpful in a cohousing community such as gardening, preserving food, cooking and baking, knitting and sewing; I've even made (crude) furnishings. :)
