Cohousing is an idyllic world for kids and teens. Younger children experience more freedom as pedestrian paths and many adult eyes make it safe for them to be outside. Teens can gather and do “teen things” at the common house and also enjoy opportunities to earn money caring for others. Coho kids tend to have relationships with people of all ages and to be comfortable talking to adults. As they explore various hobbies, odds are someone in the community is willing and able to mentor them.
