Modeled on a European plan for combining shared community and private living space, cohousing offers a unique blend of both. Our community, located in historic North Cambridge, has 32 units ranging from one-bedroom to three+ bedrooms. We have many events and celebrations throughout the year: a communal meal each Sunday; occasional spontaneous potlucks; an annual Talent Show; Field Day; Spring Carnevale; Pysanky egg dyeing; summer barbecues; and other gatherings. Younger families sometimes share childcare, and children in the community will often find neighbors showing up for school plays and concerts.
