On Saturday May 4th and Sunday 5th 2024, cohousing communities across the country will open their doors to neighbors, friends from their surrounding communities and others interested in learning more about Cohousing. National Open House Days is cohousers’ chance to share the story of cohousing  – who we are, how we live, and why we love this way of life.

There are both virtual and in-person events, as well as gatherings coordinated by regional groups or clusters of communities. We’ve finally realized a dream 8 years in the making – move-in began just two weeks ago! And we have only two units still available: a 1-bedroom and a 3-bedroom, so we’re looking for a few more adventurous souls. We’re located in one of the 15 happiest places to live in the country, according to Outside magazine. ACC is nestled among beautful trees, next to a year-round creek, with breathtaking views of the Columbia River Gorge, and yet it’s also walking distance to downtown Hood River, the local hospital, grocery stores and schools. Our group of 34 adults and 7 children includes artists, doctors, nurses, teachers, musicians, scientists, IT professionals, therapists, a professional clown, a professional cook, and more, and we come from all over the United States and beyond.
