With a population just topping 95,000 people, Western Washington University's central location makes it a diverse and thriving place to live. From art walks to concerts to sporting events, there’s always something cool happening in town.

It’s easy to live a healthy life-style in Bellingham. For those who crave outdoor adventure, Bellingham’s location on the shores of Bellingham Bay and proximity to the beautiful North Cascade Mountains offers endless opportunities for hiking, skiing, kayaking, and cycling. Bellingham’s perfect placement inspired the first Ski to Sea multisport relay race, from Mt. Baker to Bellingham Bay, now in its 51st year. Even the non-sporty can simply go for a walk and take in the amazing farmer’s market, where you’ll find locally grown food and a selection of craft beers.

Though the setting is abundant in natural beauty and cultural resources, we haven’t lost sight of the most important element: the coming together as a community to create and build an intentional neighborhood focused on living well together.
