Kat, the daughter of Mexican-Amercian parents with a long history in the Southwest, grew up in Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota School of Law. She’s worked in the non-profit legal field for underrepresented groups with the Native American Rights Fund in Anchorage, Indian Legal Assistance Program in Duluth and Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis. She met her husband thru-hiking the 2,650 mile-long Pacific Crest Trail before they married and moved to Arizona…
