The health and safety of conference attendees and our communities at large is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation as it pertains to community spread, national and local mandates and venue guidelines. We will defer to public health guidance as we design an event that prioritizes the health of everyone.
Concern for collective wellbeing is central to the cohousing movement, as is a commitment to doing all that we can to protect the health and safety of our neighbors. We ask that every conference attendee commit to caring for others in their decisions and actions surrounding this event. It is especially important that we consider the vulnerable populations among us and create an environment that is safe for every member of our community.
Our Current Policy (7/15/22) Is:
Masks will be required in intensives, tours, workshops and small spaces (elevators, meeting rooms, childcare room, etc). Masks are strongly encouraged in all other indoor spaces where others are present (plenaries, hallways, exhibit hall, etc), except while actively eating or drinking. CohoUS staff and volunteers will wear masks through the duration of the conference.
Further, we are asking that all attendees be vaccinated AND have a recent negative test. Please follow CDC guidelines for any symptoms or exposure.
Our conference venue, The Concourse Hotel, shares our commitment to health and safety and has issued their own guidelines to ensure a healthy experience for all. Please learn more about their Safe Promise Plan.
